Operation ROLLING THUNDER – Warning Order

This will be a 36hr TIER 1 COMBAT OPERATION.

Location: Westcott Venture Park, Aylesbury HP18 0XB.
(Please: note this postcode can take you to the old disused site entrance).

Navigate to Westcott and then follow signs for the main Venture park entrance where you will be met by TIER 1 staff.

Date: September 16/17/18.

The event will take place at a disused missile testing site and is around 600 acres in size. We have around 100 compounds, greenzones, irrigation ditches, disused aircraft hangars, a disused railway track and several large wooded areas to work with.

The operation will be set in Pakistan – as part of our ongoing story-line – and will involve Long range reconnaissance patrols, Observation posts, long overt patrols, including advancing to contact and clearing multiple compounds – one after the other. Airstrikes will be available on certain compounds, vehicles will be available including an APC, and the enemy will employ authentic Taliban shoot and scoot style tactics.

Those wishing to insert by helicopter should let TIER 1 know ASAP to ensure this capability will be available for you.

Please note: The compounds, which vary from single story and two story buildings to munition style bunkers, ALL are in various states of repair with many of them being derelict! Although this will add to the realism, we strongly promote a mature attitude when fighting through these structures and that safety is paramount.

All teams are to be complete on site no later than 10.30pm (no arrivals before 18.00hrs). Teams arriving later will have to notify TIER 1 prior to this event.

Safety and administrational briefs will take place on Friday evening at 10.30pm. Thereafter opposing forces will move to their respective tactical assembly areas (TAA) and await intelligence briefs and initial orders.

This will be followed by comfirmatory orders for the relevant elements and team leaders.

All players will be in the correct sections and will have been allocated military grade radios to communicate with your command elements by 01.00am

From this point on, there will not be a safezone in operation in the game until endex and the game will only stop for an emergency.

ALL elements will deploy onto the ground in the early hours of Saturday morning. RED FORCES will be based in roofed compounds and BLUE FORCES will be based in a huge aircraft hangar. Cot beds etc. can be used throughout.

It will be early on the Saturday morning. The game starts on the Friday night, so you will be carrying out rehearsals for the take down during the early hours of Saturday, until you get the green light to get airborne.

  1. Hello, just heard about you guys from Ratty at BadgerTac today. I’m loving airsoft and looking for a new challenge! Could I book a place on the Rolling Thunder operation please? I only have British Army DPM kit so whatever team is appropriate for that is fine by me. I really want to get into more milsim stuff and you seem to be running a fantastic operation here!

TIER 1 regularly carry out military training events. Rural and FIBUA.

    See our training section.

We often also carry out on the spot training during our Combat Operations.

We have people along with no military training right up to serving Royal Marine Commandos. Everybody pulls together. The more experienced help the less experienced.

The main thing to consider is having the right kit for these events. See our recommended kit lists in the library section.

Should you require any more information, please email me at: ed@tier1militarysimulation.com
